The 6 month group program

OVERLOAD TO OVERFLOW

That takes community therapists from always feeling behind, and never switching off to running a multi-six-figure practice, without working weekends.

I am helping clinically excellent, cognitively overloaded community therapists build a profitable practice through cognitive capacity, without sacrificing their clinical standards or their personal life

You're good at your job, your clients love you.

But somewhere between the admin, the caseload, and trying to grow your business with the integrity you like, your brain has hit its limit.

You feel like your brain is full, it’s noisy and making a decision about, anything, really, feels overwhelming, you just constantly feel heightened with nowhere to escape.

Overload to Overflow is the 6-month program that finds practical, actionable, systemised ways that optimise your cognition, that allow overflow. Allow you to expand and lighten your world; more space for clinical decisions, more time for personal life, more expansion for your business; more life.

Here's how you will show up in practice after Overload to Overflow:

You will finally see exactly what is draining your brain, and what to fix first. Most therapists have an overload problem. We have busy calendars, complex clients and a personal life sitting on top of it all, and because we hold so much of it in our heads, we struggle to move through the things we actually need to do.

Inside Overload to Overflow we work on getting your brain space back, personal and professional, and we start to clear it out. You will have the capacity to make a decision about dinner. The capacity to write that report. The capacity to take on new clients. The capacity for actual me time. The capacity to breathe, and to think.

You will build systems designed around your brain, not borrowed from a productivity guru.

We will critically analyse what is not working in your business and build a system that truly works for you. And note, systems are not just the apps. What we build depends entirely on your situation, but here is what it has looked like for real clients:

  • Setting up an enquiries and referrals database in Notion, so you always know who you've responded to and who you're waiting on

  • Building a task database in Microsoft Planner that holds all of your client information, now and into the future

  • Designing a spreadsheet to track your client data and cut the duplication out of your week

  • Setting up FlowSavvy so you can finally see your true capacity

  • Establishing weekly inner mentor check-ins that focus on your strengths instead of your inner critic

  • Working through the boundaries that let you clock off and be present with your kids

  • Setting up Asana so delegating to your admin assistant actually happens

  • Creating CEO time versus clinician time, so there is space to be both parts of your business

  • Setting up MemTime to run a time audit and see where your hours are really going

We build systems that hold the load so your brain doesn't have to, creating space for your thoughts and opening up lanes in your traffic jam. That is exactly why these systems hold when everything else you've tried fell over.

You will grow your revenue without growing your hours.

When the first two pieces are in place, you get glimpses of being able to breathe, and then the capacity to step into your higher level thinking. We design work that promotes efficiency rather than busyness, and a practice that is proactive rather than reactive, so you stop spinning your wheels. Every hour you stop losing to admin chaos and decision fatigue is an hour that can become billable, and that is where the growth comes from. Not more of you, less waste of you.

You will get your personal life back. We will give you real distance between work and life.

You will be at dinner and actually be at dinner, because the report has a system holding it and your brain trusts the system. You will be offline on the weekend without the background hum of unfinished tasks. You will be asleep at 2am instead of awake problem-solving, because nothing is living in your head that should be living in a structure. You will be present with your kids at the park, because work isn't looming over you, and you have the cashflow to back it up.

You're not failing.

You're not disorganised.

You're cognitively overloaded, and there's a difference.

A brain that never gets to switch off never gets to be present, no matter how much you care.

This is for you if

You are in The Exhaustion Trap

You're running at full capacity and you have been for months. You dreamt of going out on your own, impacting clients whilst making a profit, to get away from the money driven companies, but now even the thought of one more client, one more report, one more anything makes your stomach drop. So you stay where you are, exhausted but unable to slow down, because the bills don't stop just because your brain does. Your emails are overflowing, your timelines are extending and you’re stuck in this vortex.

The exhaustion seeps into your personal life, you stare at the fridge and you can’t decide what to make for dinner, you push your daughter on the swing thinking you could be writing case notes, you finally get the opportunity to rest after bed time routine, and you crash out and doom scroll, only to do it all again tomorrow.

If nobody could replace you, for even a week.

So you went out on your own for the flexibility, because being an employee wasn’t working. But nobody had taught you how to operate the complexity of this work, and you landed exactly where you were in your last employed role. Some days the cognitive weight of replying to a single email feels impossible, let alone writing the complex report your cashflow depends on. And if you couldn't work for a few weeks, nobody could replace you. Nobody could even write your out of office, because nobody knows what is where except you.

So the work follows you home. The reports sit in your head at dinner. The to-do list never actually empties. And you're still running on the same makeshift systems you cobbled together as a grad, just with higher stakes and less support.

You are Dropping the Balls you never used to drop

You're sitting at dinner with your kids and you're mentally writing a report. You said you'd stop checking emails after 7pm and you're checking them anyway. You're forgetting things you never used to forget, the call you promised a parent, the form you were sure you'd submitted, the friend's birthday that went straight past you. The people you love are getting whatever version of you is left over after the caseload takes its share.

The people who love you do not experience this as cognitive over load, they experience it as absence. Your partner stops bringing things up because they can see you are already somewhere else, your kids learn not to ask questions at the table. The people who love you are observing your model of what work does to a person. They are watching you prove that being good at something costs everything outside of it.

When cognitive load is high, clinical reasoning gets quieter. The decision-making that happens at the end of a long day, the report you draft while your brain is already signalling shutdown, those are not the same quality as the decisions you make with capacity. You are providing a service that depends on the precision of your thinking, and you are providing it with a depleted brain.

The downstream effects are real; Documentation errors. Missed details in client history. The letter you meant to send and did not. The boundary you intended to hold but could not because you had nothing left. And clinically, this matters, because the people you serve need the version of you that can hold complexity, notice patterns, and reason through ambiguity. That version of you requires cognitive capacity. Capacity you are burning on unprocessed admin, poorly designed systems, and work that has followed you home without permission.

Without cognitive capacity you cannot think strategically, create well, lead your team, or develop your clinical skills when your working memory is full. Growth requires executive function, and right now you don’t have the capacity to lean on this and wondering why expansion feels impossible.

What Community Therapists Are Saying

"In the busiest time of year I still benefited so much. I no longer have a constant to-do list running in my head, I have put real systems in place that help me feel in control of my time, and I can finally switch off at the end of the day. I would recommend Imogen to anyone who wants to reduce the stress of running a business and build better systems." - Private Practice Business Owner

"Imogen created a supportive, reflective environment that encouraged open discussion and far deeper thinking about cognitive load in both practice and personal life, and I am feeling much more at ease and far less fearful about managing my caseload." — Community Therapist, Group Mentorship Participant

"I felt such immediate relief, ultimately empowered, and like I finally had some direction to get a handle on how much I hold in my head. I had tried so many different strategies and hacks before, and it is genuinely hard, so thank you for creating practical resources that are specific enough to actually be useful." - AHP, Cognitive Capacity Participant

This is not a generic business mastermind where we run through your numbers. This is the room to be in if you want to change every aspect of your world to have more capacity. Inside, you will:

  • Connect with therapists who are living exactly what you are living

  • Build the cognitive capacity to navigate the complexities of sole trading, contracting and carrying a caseload on your own

  • Build the cognitive capacity to have more space for leadership of others or business development projects you’ve been putting off for years.

  • Optimise your systems and processes so you can actually clock off and be present in your own life

  • Stop carrying the heaviness of your clinical work home with you

  • Get your thinking back. Less reliance on AI to fill the gaps, faster decisions, and reports that are solid and sound like you

  • Realise you never needed a career change. Your clinical skills were always enough, nobody ever taught you how to use them for yourself

Here’s what you get inside

  • We start with a 1:1 call to map your cognitive load and set the plan for our six months together, with personalised check-ins every two months to make sure you are on the right path towards implementing strategic ways to improve your cognitive capacity.

  • Every two weeks you'll come together with a small, curated group of community therapists who get exactly what you are navigating. Hot seats, live problem solving, and coaching that goes deep. Being in the room allows us to make moves together, we action things fast, intentionally and facilitate that change. Together we build a way to work that allows us to hold more capacity for your clients and for yourself, for the side project that has been sitting on your maybe list, actually clocking off at school pick up and heading to the playground. Space to take a breath, drop your shoulders, loosen your jaw and have no noise in your head.

  • A structured learning experience every month, whether that's a focused 20 minute masterclass, a live app review where we set up a real system together, or a bonus hot seat. Practical, specific and directly applicable to your practice so you can learn and develop new skills.

  • Between calls you'll have access to an active Slack community where you can ask questions, share wins, troubleshoot in real time and stay so you always have access to support to keep you moving forward and prevent getting stuck.

  • A personalised Notion workspace that grows with you throughout the program, updated after every group call to reflect your themes, your actions and your progress. A living document of what you need to action to facilitate change and walk away with after each call. Your to use forever.

  • From day one you'll have access to Imogen's full suite of resources and workbooks, for your time in the cohort. Current resources include the Cognitive Load Printable for Assessing Clients, the Therapist Cognitive Load Workbook, the Traffic Jam Workbook and the System Analysis Workbook.

There's no shortage of business coaching out there. Masterminds, group programs, productivity courses, and most of them will teach you something useful.

The problem is that they were built for generic business owners, not for someone carrying a clinical caseload, the emotional weight of client work, the documentation, the Funding body compliance and the referral relationships while trying to grow a profitable practice at the same time.

There's a deeper problem too. Those programs hand you more strategies, more content and more things to implement, and implementation is exactly what an overloaded brain can't do. They keep treating your business when the thing that needs treating is your cognitive load.

Overload to Overflow starts there. Every framework, every resource and every coaching conversation is built around the specific reality of being a community therapist in private practice. The Cognitive Capacity Method wasn't adapted from someone else's business course. It's a clinical method, developed from working directly with community therapists who were clinically excellent and completely maxed out.

This isn't a program that happens to have a few therapists in it. It's a program that exists because of them.

The Cognitive Capacity Method

When I learnt about functional cognition and the impacts that has on my clients, I knew it wasn’t just for people who had brain injuries. I knew that we could all optimise our cognition in a way that made us functional. I knew that this was the answer to the complexities that we face as community therapists, that if we made the thinking processes we complete every single day in our roles as therapists, parents, business owners, just ordinary people that we could improve our function in daily life, it’s that simple.

I use my clinical lens on cognitive process to assess, design and apply solutions that optimise your cognition, that allow you to be the best version of you and have capacity so you can be more present in life.

It's built specifically for the way therapists think, work, and operate and it moves through three phases:

The Load

Before we change anything, we assess it. This is the clinical lens turned on your own cognition. We map out what you're truly carrying across your workload, your personal life and your business, and you see exactly where your capacity is going. Then we run it through the Traffic Jam Framework. Your brain is a highway, and we work out what's shutting down your lanes, where the potholes are, and which roadworks are slowing everything down.

The Design

Once you can see your load, we design around it. We work out how to give you more capacity and create room for you and your brain to breathe. We build structures, tools and processes around how your brain actually works, so your practice runs with you instead of against you.

The Application

This is where it compounds. You apply the method to your daily life, building the boundaries, communication habits and rhythms that protect your capacity long term. You stop surviving your caseload and start growing your practice without sacrificing your weekends or yourself.

This method has helped me build a multi-six-figure business while feeling grounded and strong in my clinical work, confident in my leadership, bold in my integrity and soft, present and regulated in my personal life.

Nobody says this part out loud, so I will. You're in a Traffic Jam, every single day.

Right now you're managing it, but managing at overload isn't sustainable. The traffic doesn't ease on its own. Your caseload grows, your admin compounds, your clients get more complex, and more cars keep joining a highway that hasn't gained a single lane. One day you hit a jam that rest alone won't clear.

Most therapists at this point do one of two things. They push harder and burn out completely, or they pull back, shrink their caseload, cap their income and quietly let go of the practice they worked so hard to build.

Neither of those is the answer, because we need you impacts thousands more of the clients that you already do. You clinical work matters, but so does your life.

Overload to Overflow changes your capacity. I don't ask you to find more energy you don't have, we open up lanes, clear the potholes and change the way you're carrying the load, so the same work costs you less. What feels impossible at overload starts to feel manageable, then sustainable, then easy, and you start overflowing we capacity, opportunity and joy.

This is not your typical business coaching program.

Most programs start with strategy, marketing, systems, growth tactics. This one starts with your brain.

Most other programs won’t work for community therapists, as you grow with work of mouth, you clinical skills ooze through you, but it’s your capacity to hold more that means you can’t say yes to those new referrals, it’s your admin chaos that misses emails and your inability to delegate, because you don’t know what you’re doing, let alone onboarding someone else that is your barrier.

"I don't have time to add anything else right now."

I hear this one a lot. This is literally why I created this program. If you had spare time, you probably wouldn't need this program. But here's the reframe: Overload to Overflow isn't something you add on top of your already full life. It's the thing that creates space in it. The fortnightly calls are 90 minutes. The implementation happens inside your existing work week. And the clients who felt the most time-poor at the start are consistently the ones who say they wish they'd done it sooner. If you're too busy to fix the problem, the problem doesn't fix itself. It compounds."

Overload to Overflow is different because it starts with a functional analysis of your cognitive load not a pep talk. Everything we build is specific to you, your practice, and how your brain actually works. That's why it sticks.

"I'm not sure I can afford it right now."

I  know that you will have more capacity when you engage in this. Will I give you back 1 hour a week to cover the cost of group mentorship? If you lean in, I will.
But here's the bigger question worth sitting with: what is staying at capacity actually costing you? In missed revenue, in burnout risk, in the practice you're not building yet? The investment in this program is finite. The cost of not changing isn't.

FAQs

How long is the program?

Overload to Overflow is a 6-month minimum commitment. It takes the commitment to facilitate genuine change, but we will generate that change.

How many people are in the group?

A maximum of 10 people in the group call. This is intentional small enough that you're known, not just a face on a Teams call.

What's the difference between Tier 1 and Tier 2 and Tier 3?

Tier 1 gives you fortnightly group coaching calls, monthly learning sessions, Slack support, your Cognitive Capacity Hub, and access to the Resource Library.

Tier 2 adds monthly 1-on-1 coaching calls on the alternate weeks so you’re getting getting personalised coaching once per month.

Tier 3 adds fortnightly 1 on 1 coaching calls, so you’re getting a call with Imogen each week.

When does it start?

The 2026 Cohort cart closes July 6th 2026. In that week, we will book your onboarding road map call.

The group calls will occur the next week 13th of July, and we will continue from there until 27th of Jan 26 (2 week holiday break for Christmas/New Years).

How long is the program?

Calls are recorded so you won't miss out but we do encourage live attendance where possible. The hot seat and group dynamic is where a lot of the magic happens.

Hi, I'm Imogen!

A little about me

I'm Imogen, an occupational therapist, business owner, and someone who deeply believes functional cognition is the foundation of everything we do.

I know exactly what it feels like to be clinically excellent and completely maxed out, because I've lived it. I built my community therapy practice to clinical standards I refuse to compromise on, while renovating a house, completing NDIS registration, building a personal brand, launching a podcast and turning up to netball every week. I didn't do that by pushing harder or sleeping less. I did it by learning to manage my cognitive load, and that changed everything.

I created Overload to Overflow because therapists are taught how to help clients think better, but nobody teaches therapists how to support their own thinking.

Nothing in this program is borrowed from generic business coaching. It's shaped by real-world experience in community neuro practice, informed by current evidence, and always viewed through a functional lens.

My mission is simple. I help you build a practice that feels intentional, calm and sustainable, so you can be the best version of yourself clinically, professionally and personally, and finally let the overflow begin.
